Yule Live

Yule was meant to be a live YouTube event on the 17th. It was not, and I wanted to talk about why that was. It was not due to a technical issue. I did have a plan for the event, of which the story was a part.

Like many people who have lost someone, there are good days and bad ones. This can extend over a longer period at certain times of the year. The impact to me is about memories. I have wonderful memories of dinners and shopping. When I go into a grocery store, I still remember her favorites. The memories are wonderful and bring me joy until the void hits. The lack of her presence becomes acutely apparent. On Saturday, after doing weather reporting for the spotter network the day before, the memories and the void returned stronger (maybe due to the busyness blocking out most things). I had to remind myself earlier in the day on Saturday while grocery shopping that we had not even made it to the 25th; such was my desire to have it all pass.

I will put together more for the Yule celebration, maybe another story or two or something else. But I want everyone to remember that not just at this time of the year, people can hit a bad patch. This can be from a loss or something else. Just remember to treat everyone with kindness, love, respect, and especially patience.
