Reiki is life energy. With Reiki training, you tap into this energy to perform healing on yourself or others in person or at a distance. It can heal at the emotional, physical, and spiritual level. Please note that although this is being hosted by a Church; Reiki and it’s teaching are not part of any religious doctrine. Dr. Usui was a buddhist but religion was not part of his teaching or the healing itself.
Reki training is broken into different levels. In each class, there will be a series of attunements (to allow to work with the energy) as well as discussion and practice in the use of Reiki.
I will have handouts, but please bring a notebook and a pencil to class. The books I use for the classes are listed below. Reiki I – The beginning of your journey.
Whether you just wish to learn about Reiki and use it on family and friends, or want to go on to have a Reiki practice, it all begins here. This is the foundation upon which the following classes depend. No prior experience in healing, energy work, or Reiki is required.
This class will be taught in 2 days with 4 attunements – $175 for the class only, $200 for the class with the books.
Reiki II – The next step
In this class you will learn about the Reiki symbols, the associated mantras, and their use. We will also cover the principals and concepts of distance healing.
This class will be taught over 2 days – $200 for the class only, $225 for the class with books. – A copy of your Reiki I certificate is required to enroll in this class.
Reiki III – Becoming a Reiki Master
The master level allows you to attune other people to Reiki. Becoming a Master Teacher will require you to work with a Master Teacher and demonstrate your ability to teach and do attunements by yourself. The Master level covers all the symbols and their use with hands on practice.
This class will be taught over 2 days – $220 for the class only, $245 for the class with books. – A copy of your Reiki II certificate (or higher) is required to enroll in this class.
Advanced Reiki Techniques
This 1 day course deals with advanced healing techniques, both in person and at a distance. There is a healing attunement technique as well as aura and charka cleansing techniques.
This class will be taught in 1 day – $110 for the class only, $135 for the class with books. – A copy of your Reiki Master certificate (or higher) is required to enroll in this class.
About the teacher
Leigh earned his first Master Teacher certificate in 2005. He then received a second certification for Master when William Rand was in the area. He received that certification in 2012. He is also trained in Karuna Reiki (part of William Rand’s program). He would like to see Reiki recognized in this country as it is in England and to that end has changed teaching methods to more closely resemble the English ones. This is a departure from the traditional American/Rand teaching method. The use of the Reiki Manual is part of that process. He has trained all levels of Reiki including Reiki Master Teachers and would like to see more people involved in the healing arts.
